Emperor Girls have bright future

With 3 Freshman and only 3 seniors on varsity, multiple first year players and a full JV roster for the first time in 3 years, the DHS girls water polo team has a bright future. The team improved far beyond the 1-27 record that they carried. Coach Tommy Radtke is looking forward to next year with almost the entire program returning.

Derek Perez, Angel Perez and Eric Guzman earn All-Valley selection

Senior 2M, Derek Perez earns 2nd Team All-Valley and Honorable Mention All-League behind his 30 goals and 26 assists. Senior 2M guards, Angel Perez and Eric Guzman earn Honorable Mention All-Valley and All-League. Angel and Derek will be continuing their water polo careers at Rio Mesa Junior College in San Diego.

Goalie Rafael Bedolla earns All-League and All-Valley Selections

Senior Goalie, Rafael Bedolla lead the Emperors with 278 saves. He earns 1st team All-Valley, 2nd Team All-League, and was a East/West All-Star. He will continue his water polo carreer next year at Rio Mesa Junior College in San Diego.

Tanner Pattee earns All-League and All-Valley Selections

Junior Tanner Pattee scores 45 goals and has a team leading 30 assists this season for the E.Y.L. Champion and Division 2 Runner-up Emperors water polo team. His performance this season earns him 1st Team All-League, 1st Team All-Valley, as well as 1st Team All-South Valley. University of Pacific (Stockton), Fresno Pacific, Occidental College, and Cal Baptist have all expressed interest in Tanner

Justin Lopez-Lamb recieves multiple awards

Justin Lopez-Lamb becomes the most decorated player in DHS water polo history. He finishes his career 349-goals (DHS record), East Yosemite League MVP, South Valley Player of the Year, 1st Team All-Valley, 1st Team All-Fresno Bee, DHS MVP, and was selected to the East/West All star game. Justin will be continuing his swimming and/or polo career at Cal Baptist or Fresno Pacific.

Dinuba’s varsity boy advanced to their first the Division 2 Valley championship losing to Hanford High 14-11 in overtime. They were paced by Justin Lopez-Lamb’s 5 goals, and Derek and Angel Perez’s 2 goals.
